In July 2009, the “New” Charter Standard Club Criteria was launched, in line with this Cheshire County FA have developed the “Cheshire County FA Charter Standard Club Monitoring and Evaluation Scheme”.

The aims of the scheme are to :-

• Support Clubs to meet the new CS criteria.

• Support clubs to be able to implement criteria of CS

• Promote the CS benefits package to clubs

• Support Clubs to promote Club Rules to their benefit

• Embed the RESPECT Codes of conduct in CS clubs

• Ensuring a safe environment for players / volunteers to be able to develop.

• Promote Charter Standard Club best practice and recognise good work through FA Community Awards.

All Charter Standard Clubs will be contacted in the near future by a representative of your District FA who will arrange a convenient time to come and visit a club training session. Once the training visit has been completed, a match visit will take place but this will be unannounced.

Please make sure you have your Charter Standard Club file available for the M&E visit as this will make the process more efficient.

The purpose of the M&E scheme is to support all Charter Standard Clubs meet the criteria and provide the best football opportunities available.

If you have any feedback regarding the scheme please pass this on to the District FA representative.

Please see “related documents” for copies of the M&E forms that will be used and “CS Annual Health Check” and “Charter Standard Criteria explained“ form, though you should have all received these before, if you have any questions at all regarding this process please contact Peter Nicholls on 01606 871155 or email peter.nicholls@cheshirefa.com

The deadline for all clubs to meet the New Charter Standard Criteria is July 2010, please don’t leave it to the last minute to start to look at what needs to be done. The M&E scheme will help you identify areas you need to address.
