Cheshire FA - developing football for everyone
Development - take your skills to the next level

FA Skills Programme

The FA Tesco Skills Programme is currently in its 4th year and has proved to be a huge success since its launch in 2006, with over 1 million children coached by the teams across the country.

Funded by Tesco’s, the national programme aims to deliver high quality coaching to boys and girls aged 5-11 years old, to enable more children to become active through football, as well as developing their skills in all four corners of the long term player development model; technical, physical, social and psychological.

A total of 106 specialist coaches are now employed through the programme, with Cheshire having 4 full time coaches across the county. The work they do involves providing school and club sessions, as well as after school and holiday skills centres. The Cheshire team are dedicated to improving the skills of every child they come into contact with, as well as providing an unforgettable experience in every session, ensuring each individual has the maximum opportunity to learn in a fun and safe environment.
