The training of teachers is fundamental to successful football development in schools. In March 2008 the FA launched its new Education Modules for Teachers and FA Qualified Coaches working within Education. Please find details about the new qualifications as a downloadable document.
The Cheshire County FA working with Partnership Development Managers will be delivering the new modules within School Sport Partnerships.
Attached in the related documents section are details regarding Bursary Schemes being offered for Teachers towards FA Level 1, FA Level 2, and the new FA Age Appropriate and FA Basic Referee qualifications by the English Schools FA, the Governing Body for Schools Football competitions.
The Scheme Criteria:
- Only schools affiliated to their local Schools Football Association are eligible. For further information regarding affiliation contact the ESFA on 01785 251142.
- Teachers of Primary, Secondary and Special Education.
- Teachers must provide evidence that they will be running an Out of School hour’s football activity/school team OR refereeing school fixtures.
