Following our meeting last Thursday I am pleased to confirm that those clubs insured with Bluefin will be able to insure under 6 “fun coaching activities” or “skills groups” as part of the arrangements currently in place.
The Liability Insurance purchased as part of the affiliation process will include these coaching activities, and to include the Players Accident insurance, then an additional cover for a team should be purchased – mini soccer starting at £12 per year for Bronze cover.
Clubs should be reminded of their duty of care with minors of this age, the club are totally liable as there is no contributory negligence factor when dealing with very young children. It is highly recommended that the child’s parent/guardian is in attendance at these sessions.
