Three regional award winners in Cheshire

Cheshire grassroots heroes named regional winners of 2017 FA McDonald's Community Awards.

Three local grassroots champions from across Cheshire have been named as this year's North-West regional winners of The FA Community Awards, presented by McDonald's.

Paul Graham of the Chester and Wirral Football League, Wesley Ratcliff of Benchill Celtic JFC and Timperley FC have been recognised for their commitment to grassroots football at a regional level after being judged by a panel of Regional FA and McDonald’s representatives.

Steve Stewart, Cheshire FA Chief Executive Officer said: "It is a great honour to have Paul, Wesley and Timperley represent Cheshire as regional winners, we are extremely proud of them."

"To have three North-West regional winners across a total seven categories is truly inspiring and a great reflection of the astounding work that is being carried out by everybody involved in the grassroots game in the county on a weekly basis."
