The Adult Retention Fund is back!

We are pleased to announce that the Adult Retention Fund is returning for the upcoming 19/20 season

This fund will be used to help support our single team adult clubs to become more sustainable and to be able to carry on playing for years to come.

This therefore means your club is eligible to work towards the Adult Charter Standard and/or Football Foundation Stay In The Game funding.

We understand running an adult club can be a time consuming and thankless task so we want to try and make this job easier! To help improve your clubs sustainability we are pleased to provide you with support and guidance to make 3 simple changes to your club and therefore fund you with free affiliation (please note that club will still have to purchase insurance policies).

The criteria is below;

  1. 3 separate key club officials (secretary, treasurer and chairman) assigned to the Whole Game System.
  2. An open bank account in the club’s name.
  3. Whole Game System training to ensure no outstanding fines and late fees.

We have recognised that some of the main reasons clubs fold is when the single official stops running the club, outstanding fines get too much to pay and officials aren’t able to complete all the admin duties and look after finance. This list is not definitive as we know that facilities, lack of players etc... All play a part. However these changes are easy to make and can make a big difference.

In order to access free affiliation and the support packages to make the above changes please complete the application via the link below.
Please note that if you’ve received this funding last year you won’t be able to reapply again this year. 35 clubs where funded last year and we hope to replicate this with 35 new clubs benefiting from the scheme for season 19-20.

The application window is open until 8th July with funding decisions announced on 10th July. If you have any queries, please email AdultFootball@CheshireFA.com

This is a great opportunity for adult clubs to improve their sustainability and save money on the affiliation fee. We look forward to working with our clubs ready for the 2019/20 season!
