VACANCY: Safeguarding Manager


An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen to join the team at Cheshire Football Association.

We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience and knowledge of safeguarding.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:- 

  • Lead and manage Cheshire FA's Safeguarding Licence, being accountable for the delivery of the minimum operating standards (MOS) as prescribed by The FA.
  • Join the Senior Management Team (SMT) and take a proactive and supportive role in the leadership of the business. Taking a dynamic approach to the business administration in relation to safeguarding.
  • Take up line management responsibility of administration staff, to ensure the efficient running of Cheshire FA business.
  • Manage all day-to-day aspects relating to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults within the county in line with legislation and FA policy, regulations and guidance.
  • Become a champion for safeguarding in Cheshire and contribute to Cheshire FA board meetings and lead staff development with regard to welfare and safeguarding.
  • Working effectively within and supporting discipline and compliance processes.
  • Demonstrating the Cheshire FA vision of 'Changing Lives Through Football' and promoting the character and customer values.
