Disability Talent Pathway

Disability Talent Pathway

Each season, Cheshire FA deliver an England Talent Day for young people aged 7-16 with an impairment or disability.

The FA disability football performance unit has a clear vision: to develop winning England teams.

In order to do so, the mission is to deliver the world’s leading talent programme for disability sport, maximising player and coach potential.

This is the first step on the disability talent pathways and a wonderful opportunity for football players, with any of the following impairments:

  • Partially sighted (visual impairment)
  • Deaf/hearing impaired
  • Cerebral Palsy (impairment of muscle tone, movement, co-ordination and control)
  • Amputee
  • Blind

Cheshire FA are currently looking for suitable players to attend the day, with the possibility of being put forward for one of the FA Talent Hubs.

If you know a player who you think may be suitable we would love to hear from you.

It might not be that you are the best player, in fact, you may not realise how good a player is in relation to their own impairment group, so please let us know about them or please inform them or their parents of the opportunity.

If you would like to find out more about the England Talent Day please email DisabilityFootball@CheshireFA.com to register your interest.
