England U21s to play home Euro Qualifier double-header

Three Lions to face Andorra and Turkey this March

England will play two key UEFA European U21 Championship qualifiers at home in March.

Aidy Boothroyd's side will first take on Andorra at the home of Stoke City on Thursday 26 March (7.45pm KO), before facing Turkey at Turf Moor in Burnley on Monday 30 March (7.45pm KO).

England sit top of qualifying Group 3 with four wins in four. In their opening fixture the Young Lions beat Turkey 3-2 in a closely-contested game away in Izmit, with Eddie Nketiah scoring twice and Reiss Nelson sealing the win.

Tickets for both games are priced at £1 for under-16s, with an early-bird discount of £10 for adults available until 16 February (standard price of £15 from 17 February). Group booking, concession and Charter Standard discounts also apply.

Stoke City chief executive Tony Scholes said: “We are proud to have been chosen to host the UEFA Under 21 Championship qualifier between England and Andorra.

“We look forward to welcoming fans from both countries to the bet365 Stadium and showcasing Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire.”

Burnley chairman Mike Garlick said: “It is with great pleasure and immense pride that we look forward to welcoming the England U21 side in March.

“I consider it a real honour that Turf Moor has been selected to host the European U21 Championship 2021 qualifier against Turkey.

“Occasions like this are ones to savour and I am sure the Burnley public will support the game and help make this a great success.”

England MU21s last played at Turf Moor in November 2014, where a double from Danny Ings and a goal for Carl Jenkinson secured a 3-1 win against Portugal. The Young Lions’ last visit to Stoke was in 2002, where they lost 1-0 to Portugal.
