4 Clubs 1 Goal Scheme Launched to Raise Awareness of Child Exploitation

Our friends at Liverpool FA have teamed up with Everton, Liverpool, Marine, Tranmere Rovers for a special event at Anfield.

Our friends at Liverpool FA are teaming up with ‘4 Clubs 1 Goal’ to deliver a Child Exploitation Awareness Evening on Tuesday 26 March at Anfield Stadium.

Everton, Liverpool, Marine, Tranmere Rovers and Liverpool FA have joined forces in a unique partnership with the goal of making Merseyside safer for everyone.

With Liverpool FA’s support, the ‘4 Clubs 1 Goal’ programme is now focusing on expanding the programme into our grassroots football community. By using the power and reach of football, we want to change communities and help stop exploitation, abuse, and violence. 

The first ever event for our grassroots football community is taking place on Tuesday 26 March, 6-9pm at Anfield Stadium and is open to Club and League Committee members, coaches, volunteers, referees within the Youth and Adult game from across Merseyside.

What to expect

  • The event will include hearing from Guest Speakers, former Everton Player, Michael Branch and James Riley, former Probation Officer & Gun Crime Educator
  • Learning about Child Exploitation - what it is, how to identify it within your club/team, what to do and what support is available
  • Learning how valuable your role is within children/young peoples lives
  • Participating in group and room discussions regarding issues across Merseyside

Outcomes

  • Better understanding of what Child Exploitation is, how to identify and address it appropriately
  • How to support children/young people within your club/team
