On Friday 11 October, we will be hosting a special Black History Month event at Cheshire FA HQ, and we want you to come along!

Starting at 6.30pm, the evening will be a celebration of football and the achievements of players and coaches, while looking at how we can work in partnership to support further opportunities for players and coaches from the BAME Community.

On the night, we will be joined by special guests, including Kick it Out Northern Grassroots Officer Arran Williams and former player and ex-England U19s coach Noel Blake.

There will be a light buffet involving some Caribbean food (supplied by D’s Rice & Peas) in-between speakers, allowing individuals to network.

Ahead of the event, Cheshire FA Education & Training Manager, James Self, said: “We are looking forward to the evening and a big thank you to Steve Smithies (FA Regional Coach Mentor Officer) who has helped organise the event.

“We are excited to hear from the different Guest speakers on the evening, who will be sharing their journeys in the Game along with the FA Coach Mentors who will be facilitating the different network opportunities to inspire and support the coaches and volunteers attending.”

Tickets are free, but we ask that anyone wishing to be a part of the evening indicates their desire to attend beforehand.
