Cheshire FA would like to thank every member of our grassroots community for everything throughout 2021.

Cheshire FA is delighted to present the latest edition of our 1878 newsletter, which looks back on work carried out within grassroots football across 2021.

We’re delighted to share with you some of the highlights of the year.

Whilst it has been another tough year for everybody throughout the grassroots football community, it hasn’t prevented some incredible achievements being accomplished across the local game.

As we bring the year to a close, the publication of our 1878 Review of 2021 provides the perfect opportunity for us all at Cheshire FA to say thank you to every single member of our grassroots football family; coaches, players, referees, volunteers, parents and supporters.

“Here at Cheshire FA, we are all very appreciative and proud of the work that you, our grassroots community, do week-in week-out to serve the many thousands of players across the county of Cheshire,” said Cheshire FA Chairman, Dave Edmunds.

“Without the dedication of club and league officials, together with our coaches and referees, we would not have a game – so thank you all for supporting the game we love.”

Steve Smithies, Cheshire FA CEO added: “Whilst 2021 enabled us to get back involved in football following an unpresedented 2020, the year was not without its challenges. Despite those challenges, the special nature of Cheshire’s grassroots football community was merely highlighted further, with the county accomplishing some amazing achievements and the game continuing to develop and grow. Our thanks to you all for you passion, dedication and mutual love for the game.”
