Cheshire FA are delighted to announce the appointment of Kimiyo Rickett to our Board of Directors following ratification at the meeting of Council on 6th December 2021.

CEO, Steve Smithies, spoke of his delight at the appointment.

“Kimiyo brings an incredible amount of knowledge, understanding and empathy to our Board with her 33 years working in public sector leisure including 25 years at a senior management level," he said. "I am so pleased to welcome Kimiyo to our Board of Directors and have no doubt she will add another perspective to Cheshire FA.”

Recently, Kimiyo has also been an active member of the Cheshire FA Inclusion Advisory Board. 

Chairman, David Edmunds, highlighted: “We are very pleased to welcome Kimiyo to our Board of Directors. The wealth of experience Kimiyo brings from across sport through both her voluntary and employment capacities will be vital as we work towards achieving our strategic objectives during our new Business Strategy. We look forward to working with Kimiyo in the months and years ahead.”

Kimiyo brings a great amount of knowledge from within both a sporting and ED&I (Equality, Diversity & Inclusion) background. 

Presently, Kimiyo is a Member of the Board of Directors and Strategy & Finance Group Member for the Grounds Management Association; Senior Independent Director and Chair of Finance & Audit Group for Together Active and Member of the Board, Trustee and Chair of Customers & Partners Committee of the charitable organisation responsible for the management of Cheshire East Council’s leisure facilities, including leisure centres, swimming pools and outdoor pitches and courts – Everybody Sport & Recreation.
