Return of the Club Retention Fund

Cheshire FA is pleased to announce the return of our Club Retention Fund for 2022/23.

Cheshire FA are pleased to confirm the Club Retention Fund will return for the 22-23 season.

For this season two grants available to Adult Clubs within Cheshire. This fund will be used to help support our single team adult clubs to become more sustainable and to be able to carry on playing for years to come. 

We have recognised that some of the main reasons clubs fold is when the single official stops running the club, outstanding fines get too much to pay and officials aren’t able to complete all the admin duties and look after finance. This list is not definitive as we know that facilities, lack of players etc... All play a part. However, these changes are easy to make and can make a big difference.

Grant One

What cost will the grant cover? 

1. Grant One will cover the affiliation fee of £60.00. This will be provided as a credit note from your affiliation application through the Whole Game System. 

Please see eligibility criteria and requirements below;
Accessible to new or existing Cheshire based one team Adult Male Clubs.
Participate in a County FA 11v11 Sanctioned League.
Three separate key club officials (secretary, treasurer and chairman) assigned to the Whole Game System.
No outstanding fines and late fees.

Grant Two

What cost will the grant cover? 
1. Grant Two will cover the affiliation fee of £60.00. This will be provided as a credit note from your affiliation application through the Whole Game System. 
2. Grant Two will cover the Person Accident and Public Liability Insurance costs to the amount of £30 for County Cover PL Insurance and £75.50 for Bluefin’s Superior 120 PA Insurance.

Accessible to new or existing Cheshire based one team Adult Male Clubs.
Participate in a County FA 11v11 Sanctioned League.
Three separate key club officials (secretary, treasurer and chairman) assigned to the Whole Game System.
No outstanding fines and late fees.
Must have a dedicated club bank account. 
All PA insurance policies purchased must be uploaded to The Whole Game System via their affiliation application for the reimbursement to be issued.

Both grants are subject to approval from Cheshire County Football Association. Each application will be issued on a first come, first serve basis and subject to meeting the criteria above.  Clubs will be notified the result of their application via email.
