Steve Thompson MBE visits Cheshire FA

Heads On - Ensuring Football Is Fun and Safe

Rugby World Cup winner offered insight to Cheshire FA.

Rugby World Cup winner Steve Thompson MBE, popped in to Cheshire FA HQ on Monday 22 May.

Steve, whose daughter plays football locally, was keen to talk about grassroots football and how important it is to ensure that everyone is safe and has fun.

Steve was accompanied by goalkeeper coach, Nick Rimmer. Cheshire FA will be supporting Steve as he launches his new charity, ‘Heads On’.

Steve was also keen to learn more about our dementia awareness work in collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Connect service, which Cheshire FA is a proud supporter of.
