Walking Football
Don't leave your love of football in the past!
Walking Football, A Slow-Paced Version Of The Beautiful Game Aimed At Over 40s, Has Arrived In Cheshire.
It was initially designed to help get over 40's back into football and increase physical activity through rekindling players' love for the game again.
The rules are adapted so there is no running, very little contact and kick ins instead of throw ins. With less stress on the body and no real sudden change of direction or cutting movements, the game allows participants to play without apprehension and at their own pace.
Playing the game at walking pace is a fantastic way to keep fit, reduces chance of injury and falls and is also a great way to meet new people.
Anyone is welcome to attend, so dust off your football kit and give it a go!
We now have female-only and mixed walking football sessions running across the county, so get in touch to find a local session near to you!
