It is with deep and profound sadness that we report the passing of Cheshire FA Life Member Bill King. 

Bill lost his life in the early hours of Wednesday morning. 

Bill joined the Cheshire FA Council in 1985 and was the representative of the North West Counties League for many years, initially as Board Director. 

He has acted as Chairman of Northwich Victoria, Runcorn FC and Altrincham FC, and also helped establish the newly-formed Football Alliance, which is known today as the National League. 

We would like to extend our sincerest condolences to Bill's family and friends.
